Philippians 4:8 KJV â Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Today I started a Bible devotional plan called Get out of Your Head. This verse jumped out at me. I tend to be in my head a lot and can easily get lost in my thoughts. I tend to have thoughts that tear me down instead of building me up. I let my thoughts wander to scenes I should not be thinking of. This verse was a strong reminder that God has given me the ability to choose the things that I think of and control my thoughts.
I have made it a goal to memorize this verse and use it in my battle against wrong thoughts. I hope this will be an encouragement to you today. God can help you defeat wrong thoughts.
