Reflections: A Time to Reset

Happy New Year everyone! We have made it to a new year. 2020 was definitely a very hard year. I know that the turning of the clock to a new year does not mean that things will change in an instant but I think that this time that we take to celebrate the coming of a new year can help us all have a reset.

I know that nothing has changed on January 1st but we should take this time to stop and get rid of bad habits and start on a clean slate. You may not have accomplished a goal last yearbut do not let failure keep you down. This year, get back up and start again.

Make this year the year you leave the past in the past and look ahead to the future. Each new year brings new opportunities to retry and have a redo. You are alive today, this means that you have been given the chance by God to reset and start over.

I am reminded of this verse in 2 Corinthians Chapter 5 verse 17. I hope this encourages you today. You can have a reset when you come to Jesus Christ. He will make you new.

2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV — Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
