Spotlight: Help a DeafBlind Teen Receive DeafBlind Services for the first Time in His Life

Text reads every person with a disability deserves a chance to thrive. Text is in white bold letters on a black background. #DeafBlind #disability #fundraiser

I recently saw an episode of Special Books by Special Kids about a 16-year old teen named Max. He is DeafBlind and is also intellectually delayed. I learned that he had never received DeafBlind services at school because he was deemed unable to learn any skills and also due to a lack of funds at the school for the program he would need. The misconception that disabled people cannot learn skills must be broken.

A fundraiser has been created to help Max receive the best DeafBlind services that will help him thrive. Every person with a disability deserves a chance to thrive. You can find out more and support Max here. .
