Life is full of winding roads and with many paths to choose from. I am thankful to have a book that I can turn to for directions onto the correct path. As a Christian, for me this book is the Bible, and within the Bible the book of Proverbs. Here are some life lessons I have learned from Proverbs chapter 2.

1. Wisdom will lead me on the correct path

There is a good path and a bad path in life. There are good and bad choices we can make.

Wisdom is found in the entire Bible. I should seek it each day as it is a true treasure.

2. Wisdom will help me stay away from those who try to trick me with flattery

In the chapter the warning is about a woman seducing a man with flattering words but this can go both ways. Never fall for flattering words. I have learned to question motives because you should not trust anyone so easily these days.

3. Wisdom will help me live longer here on this earth

Now of course no one is guaranteed tomorrow but the choices we make can lengthen or shorten our lives.

I want to walk on the correct path and be under God’s protection.

Some extra thoughts

I hope that this encourages you to read the book of Proverbs and use the wisdom in it in your own life. You can read the other posts in this series here.

Thank you for reading 🙂
