My theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge is faith and encouragement from a Christian perspective. I hope that these posts will encourage you during this month and beyond. We are living in hard times with more hard times up ahead. As a Christian I find my hope and strength in God. I hope to share this hope with you all through these posts.
Anchor
These past few years have felt like one giant hurricane. i don’t know about you but I have felt like I am in a boat out at sea in the middle of the storm. I have seen the wind of fear and the rain of illness and death and the thunder of war. There seems to be no safe place to rest.
I am here to say that there is still hope. There is an unmovable anchor that is able to keep you steady during this storm. The anchor is Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ the son that we can have access to God the father. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life (read John 14:6 KJV here).
He is the one who can give you peace in the storm. He will be your joy in the storm of sorrow. He will be your peace in the chaos. He will lead you through it all.
Below is a poem I wrote a few years ago. This is not specifically about an anchor but it discusses a similar concept so i decided to include it here. I hope this poem will encourage you today.
Let Jesus Christ be your anchor through the storm.
