#AToZChallenge Day 15: Overcome

My theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge is faith and encouragement from a Christian perspective. i hope that these posts will be an encouragement to you during this month. These days times are hard and we all need some encouragement from time to time.

Overcome

In this life we will face many obstacles now that we are living in a fallen world.We will face obstacles such as enemies, we will face obstacles of sorrow, pain, sickness and death. As Christians, our greatest enemy is the devil.

The devil is out there constantly fighting against believers. Persecution is going to increase. We have already seen persecution of believers all throughout history and we are seeing it take place more often in other countries. Those in the United States have not seen much persecution because the United States is relatively a free country. The United States has recently moved further away from Christian values. This shift will create more obstacles for believers who want to be bold and stand for the word of God. A time is coming when simply preaching the entire word of God will be viewed as hate speech.

What I am trying to say is that believers will be facing many obstacles because persecution is coming. There will be a time when those who refuse to worship the beast will not be able to buy or sell (read Revelation 13 KJV here).

I have already seen a church get evicted from their building because they preach against homosexuality, and this was only a few months ago. We must be ready for what is coming.

I do not want to discourage you by saying this, instead, I want to encourage you and remind you that if you are a believer you have overcome the world because Jesus Christ has overcome the world.

Jesus Christ has overcome the world (read John 16:33 KJV here).

We must look to Jesus Christ in these hard times. This is the only way we can sing and leap for joy in the face of obstacles.
