My theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge is faith and encouragement from a Christian perspective. i hope that these posts will be an encouragement to you during this month. These days times are hard and we all need some encouragement from time to time.
Quiet
Quiet is something we all need more of but it seems even harder to find these days. When I think of quiet I think of peace. This kind of peace can only be found in God. He can only calm every storm in your life. I wrote this poem a few years ago reflecting on this peace that exists in the storm. Come to God in prayer through Jesus Christ and he will give you peace that passes all understanding (read Philippians 4:6-7 KJV here).
Quiet
Quiet in the midst of troubles
Quiet in the midst of tears.
Quiet through the struggle
Breaking through the fear.
You lead me by still waters
Though hurricanes surround.
You calm the winds around me,
Keep me on solid ground.
Peace greater than silence
My soul is still through this.
In you I find the solace,
The peace that flows within.
