My theme for this year’s A to Z Challenge is faith and encouragement from a Christian point of view. I hope these posts are an encouragement to you. I am addressing these posts to myself as well.
Zeal
Today I want to encourage you all and myself as Christians to remember what we are here on this earth for. We are still here for a purpose. God could take us to heaven immediately after we are saved and let angels keep doing the work but he does not do that. This is because we are here for a reason. We are here to work for God.
We must do this work with great zeal, but along with great zeal we must have wisdom.
We must let the word of God be our guide.
We must first love God with zeal and then love others. We must love others by sharing the gospel with them and then by helping them in other ways as well.
We must have a zeal to read the word of God. It is important to read it every day. Reading is important but we must also obey the word of God as well.
We are going to need to have great zeal to face persecution when it comes. Will you be ready to lose everything for believing in Jesus Christ? We must be ready for what is coming.
We must have great zeal in prayer. Prayer is truly a lifeline to face all that is ahead.
We must encourage one another as brothers and sisters in Christ.
