Hello everyone! I hope you had a great start to 2023 and that the month of January went well for you.

Here are some of the things I enjoyed during the month of January.

Favorite sermon

One sermon that really got my attention was a message on having compassion on the elderly. The message was on how vulnerable the elderly are as they face a higher chance of being abused, stolen from and abandoned.

This made me reflect on my own family and made me want to reach out more to my grandmother and I hope to be there for my parents as they get older. I hope this will inspire you to do the same in your family, you can listen to the sermon here..

Music

I have realized that I really enjoy the organ. I love listening to hymns played on it but I love listening to anything on it as it is such a beautiful instrument. Here are some songs I like.

I have also discovered a new artist named Anna Lapwood. She is a brilliant organist.

Videos

I found this interesting video about this capsule hotel in Japan. This is a cool concept, I would like to visit it one day.

I also enjoyed this documentary on Steve Jobs. I enjoyed learning about his life and how Apple came to be as well as some history on computers. You will find this to be very interesting.

Peace

The word I have chosen for this year is peace. Something that stood out to me in January is that this world will never be at peace but Jesus has overcome the world. I find my peace in Jesus Christ.

John 16:33 KJV — These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
